The process of remanufacturing a cart

1. Old and rusted shopping carts are sent to the manufacturer

• The carts are fully inspected and checked for any missing welds or broken frame sections.
• Baskets and frames are then repaired, straightened, and aligned.
• Carts that are non-repairable are stripped down and recycled.

2. Stripping & Powder Coating

• The carts are then stripped to bare metal and prepped for the powder coating process.
• 2-hour prep includes scraping away the rust followed by a 5-stage cleaning process.
• A powder coat is applied and baked to a super hard finish to get a durable finish with a 1-year limited warranty.
• The top-coat can be in any color, standard options being granite and flat black.

3. Cart Re-Assembly

• Carts are installed with new wheels, casters, plastic seats, and handles.
• We also install new ASTM child restrainers.
• One final round of inspection for safety before redistribution.
